Our key differentiators
Clear advice before work starts
We explain the process in plain language from the start. You get practical answers that help you decide with confidence.
Accreditations that matter
Our recognised approvals show that we meet industry standards for this type of installation. That gives you added reassurance when you're investing in a new heating system.
A smarter way to heat your home
Air-source heat pumps give you a modern heating system that can lower your reliance on traditional fossil fuels while keeping your home comfortable throughout the year. We install systems with the care and know-how that come from 25 years in heating, and we make sure the setup suits the way your property actually works.
In Wigan, that matters because homes in areas such as WN1, WN2 and WN5 can vary in age, layout and insulation levels. We take the time to assess what your home needs, explain the process clearly, and fit equipment that supports efficient day-to-day heating and hot water.
Our team at A Mellor Plumbing & Heating Services Limited has built a strong reputation for neat workmanship, polite service and practical problem-solving when unexpected snags appear. That means you get a system installed with less stress and a team that keeps you informed from first contact to final handover.
Client perspectives
Trustpilot
Recently had a Vaillant Air Source Heat Pump system installed. From initial contact through to finalised job, all first class, neat, knowledgeable, tidy and polite. Hit a few snags along the way and some changes were necessary, but all overcome and very pleased with the end result. Highly recommend.
Installed with accredited expertise
With MCS accreditation and recognised manufacturer approvals, we fit heat pump systems to current standards rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. Our experience with brands such as Vaillant gives you a solid starting point if you want a system from a well-known name in renewable heating. Finance options can make the move more manageable, especially if you're planning a larger upgrade alongside other heating improvements.
We also offer quick online quotes, so you can get an early idea of costs without waiting around for basic information. Around Wigan, we help you understand what is involved before work begins, from system suitability to the practical steps of installation. Get in touch today.
Why heat pumps are worth considering
Your heating system does more than warm the house. It affects running habits, long-term energy planning, and how future-ready your property feels. We install air-source systems that can support steady indoor comfort with a lower-carbon approach than many conventional setups.
They can also work well with wider home improvements, especially if you're considering efficiency and modern heating controls. Our team at A Mellor Plumbing & Heating Services Limited helps you weigh up those practical benefits in Wigan without drowning you in jargon.
